Sydney 9th Sep 2016 – Dataline Group and BBC Digital announced a partnership that brings enterprise-grade accounts payable automation to small business.
The cost savings, time savings and increased accuracy of automated invoicing and accounts payable processes were once only available to large enterprises. Not any more. By combining outsourced scanning and on-shore manual checking with cloud-based workflow controls, Dataline is in a unique position to offer these benefits to small and medium enterprises in Australia – all with no disruption to ongoing processes and zero capital investment.
“Despite all the great advances in technology, many SMEs are still processing invoices and payables much the same way as they did years ago,” said Ken Swanson, founder and CEO of the Dataline Group “It’s a huge waste of effort and resources – they’re leaving money on the table by continuing to do what they’re doing.
“The reality is that in the daily life of many businesses, there’s still a lot of paper, especially when it comes to paying suppliers. This hasn’t gone away. Transferring that paper-based information accurately into an accounting system like MYOB, is not an easy task, especially for firms processing large numbers of invoices – it’s time-consuming and can inevitably lead to costly mistakes. The Dataline solution takes away the pain of dealing with all that, as well as streamlining the payment approvals and workflow process.”
BBC Digital is the first Dataline signing in a program to help SMEs get on top of their invoices and payables.
BBC Digital will immediately begin offering Dataline’s solution to their MYOB customers, broadening this to Xero, Reckon and others in coming months.
BBC Digital Executive Director, Andrew Hill said, “For BBC Digital, this new partnership with Dataline allows us to offer a complete Procure-to-Pay solution for our customers nationwide. It goes way beyond simply scanning paper invoices or PDFs. Dataline has a total solution for SME payables. It’s cloud-based, proven and our customer see benefits from day one.”
